Call for Applications for 2014 SuperNova Awards for Leaders in Disruptive Technology

One of the most important events for people who are working very hard to create amazing customer experiences, driving revenue from marketing and reducing costs is coming up. That event is the Constellation SuperNova Awards. And the call for applying for these 2014 SuperNova Awards for leaders in disruptive technology deployment is August 1, 2014.

At the Constellation Conference, during the SuperNova Awards we will recognize individuals who demonstrate true innovation through their application and adoption of new and emerging technologies. Have you done something innovative? Have you truly transformed all or some aspect of the customer experience and/ or customer service? Have you deployed social analytics? Are you leading digital transformation in your organization? Have you driven more revenue, increased marketing lead conversion rates, created significantly more brand awareness, created diehard brand advocates who are loyal, drive referrals and advocacy? Then you should be recognized for leading the way in your industry.

We know that often leading the way during a disruptive technology period – like social, like digital, like marketing automation, like monitoring & listening, engagement, analytics, etc… is not easy. And the SuperNova Awards are the moment that all your hard work can not only be recognized by peers but also perhaps a way for you to get recognition within your organization. Sometimes it takes getting an award from an outside organization for people inside your organization to see and understand your brilliance. Having been inside many organizations, knowing the politics it takes to get things done, often individuals who are leading don’t get all the accolades they should. The SuperNova Awards is one of your opportunities to be seen, be heard, and be acknowledged.

In particular we are searching for leaders and teams who have overcome the odds to successfully apply emerging and disruptive technologies for their organizations. And one tip I can provide is that special emphasis will be given to projects that seek to redefine how the enterprise uses technology on a large scale.

So if you are leading one of the boldest, most transformative technology projects out there, don’t walk — virtually run and submit an application. It will be judged by Constellation analysts and some of the most influential thought leaders in enterprise technology.

And if you know someone who has what it takes to compete in the SuperNova Awards, encourage them to fill out the application here.  Sometimes we need someone to nudge us and remind us how amazing we are. So participate. Help move the industry forward and reduce the hype cycle for digital, social, analytics and traditional customer experience, marketing and customer service technology disruption by showing that the changes that you are making are getting real, solid business results and its not hype. This new technology disruption is the way business needs to get done. At least that is my point of view!

2012 SuperNova Award Semifinalists #SNA12 Part 3

We’re just a few days away from knowing who is going home with a 2012 SuperNova Award! Let’s dive right in and look at 2 semifinalists who are up for the “Consumerization of IT and the New C-Suite” award.

Cari Cook, Executive Director, Delta Delta Delta (Tri Delta)

“The 16,000-member Tri Delta fraternal organization had been using manual bookkeeping styles of chapter financial management that were time-consuming, complex and often imprecise – for both chapter and headquarters leadership. Senior management led a project to automate and standardize accounting and financial management by introducing a cloud/SaaS-based accounting and payments technology system and completely changing internal processes associated with billings, payments, accounting and more. The project, which required no start-up funds, has driven dramatic measurable improvements in virtually all areas that define success for a non-profit: revenue, cash flow, collections, recruitment, fundraising and charitable donations.”

Founded in 1888, Tri Delta is a leader among social Greek organizations through its passion for progress and visionary thinking. Through partnerships with nationally recognized organizations like St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, award-winning publications like The Trident and innovative collegiate and alumnae initiatives, Tri Delta is committed to leveraging our timeless values to revitalize the sorority experience. For more information, please visit www.tridelta.org or call (817) 633-8001. You can follow Tri Delta on Twitter at @TriDelta.

Leerom Segal, President and CEO, Klick Health

As CEO and President of Klick, Leerom Segal spearheaded the development of a revolutionary management tool called Genome. A custom-built intranet with a full suite of tools aimed at managing time, budgets and people, Genome replaces e-mail, timesheets, spreadsheets, memos and office gossip (amongst other things) by harnessing big data and social technologies, and has been the key competitive advantage that has allowed Klick to grow an average of 30% every year in its 15 year history.”

Klick Health is shaping the future of digital health. We are the world’s largest independent digital health agency and are rapidly growing. Our depth of industry thought-leaders gives us the edge in developing engaging digital experiences rooted in strategic and marketing insights, creative thinking and technological expertise.

We partner with leading healthcare companies to create digital solutions that educate and engage both industry professionals and healthcare providers about life-saving treatments. We also help inform and empower patients to manage their health and play a central role in their own care. Every solution hinges on our in-house expertise across the digital universe – creative, analytics, instructional design, user experience, relationship marketing, strategy, social and mobile.

We pride ourselves in creating one of the most unique and innovative workplaces in North America. Klick Health is the sole recipient of the triple crown of Canada’s most recognized awards: Best Employers, Best Managed, and Fastest Growing Technology Company in North America. 2012 SuperNova Award Semifinalists #SNA12

Recently, I’ve been reading up on the 2012 SuperNova Award Semifinalists. Unfamiliar with the SuperNova Award? Here’s some quick information, taken from Constellation Research:

The SuperNova Awards celebrates champions of disruptive technology for a second year. Constellation’s all star cast of judges whittled down an applicant pool of over 120 hopefuls, and selected 60 exceptional semifinalists.  All semifinalists will receive one invitation to Connected Enterprise, Constellation’s premier innovation summit; a three-month subscription to Constellation’s Quark library;  and membership in Constellation’s research community.  Select semifinalists will also be invited to speak on best-practices panels at Connected Enterprise.

Constellation’s Principal Analyst and CEO, R “Ray” Wang noted, “The judges saw an increase in the quality and quantity of this year’s entries.  A common theme among the 2012 semifinalists –  defined ROI and metrics, best practices on how to transform an organization, and real calculated risk taking inside the organization.  These semi-finalists should be applauded for their courage in taking their organizations to the next level in a tumultuous business climate”.

If you’re familiar with my work, you know how I stress the importance of effective customer service for improving business, so I’ve decided to share with you 2 of the finalists and their companies up for the “Next Generation Customer Experience” award.

Jens Voigt, Vice President Customer Support, Western Europe, Kaspersky Lab

“Since most of our customers conduct their personal and professional business online, we knew we had to deliver an online self-service option to meet their needs.  To do this, in 2010, Kasperksy launched Lena, an intelligent virtual agent powered by VirtuOz.  Initially, the goal was to provide a 24/7 automated system that delivered a fast, personalized, contextual customer experience and free up support resources for more advanced, paid technical services.  However, with robust analytics capabities able to capture the voice of the customer, we soon realized that our customers were using Lena as the online equivalent of a tech-savvy sales representative.  So in November 2011, Kaspersky expanded Lena’s role to the sales function, which quickly garnered tremendous success.”

Kaspersky Lab is the world’s largest privately held vendor of endpoint protection solutions.  The company is ranked among the world’s top four vendors of security solutions for endpoint users.  Throughout its 15-year history Kaspersky Lab has remained an innovator in IT security and provides effective digital security solutions for consumers, SMBs, and Enterprises.  The company currently operates in almost 200 countries across the globe, providing protection for over 300 million users worldwide.  Learn more at www.kaspersky.com.

Dawn Wolfe, Sr. Digital Marketing Manager, Autodesk

“Due to the power and complexity of Autodesk’s software, a single user license can be a significant investment, which makes software trials a critical component in a customer’s purchasing decision. In fact, data showed that prospects were twice as likely to purchase Autodesk® products if they had used the software at least three times during a 30-day trial period. We incorporated Badgeville’s Game Mechanics into our 3ds Max® software trial experience to provide our prospects with a guided, more engaging experience through the full benefits and key differentiators of our products.”

Autodesk, Inc., is a leader in 3D design, engineering and entertainment software. Customers across the manufacturing, architecture, building, construction, and media and entertainment industries — including the last 17 Academy Award winners for Best Visual Effects — use Autodesk software to design, visualize and simulate their ideas. Since its introduction of AutoCAD software in 1982, Autodesk continues to develop a broad portfolio of state-of-the-art software for global markets. For additional information about Autodesk, visit www.autodesk.com.
